Author of Contemporary Fiction for Adults The Author Nicholson has lived his life in all the corners of the Midlands; keen on sports and enjoying the outdoors, he can often be found wandering the countryside, especially in the Lake District, his favourite haunt, usually with his dogs close at hand. He played Rugby for many years for his Old Boys Club and is a regular visitor to Twickenham Stadium to watch the International Rugby fixtures and take part in the whole experience of an International day.
He likes his music, especially Rock, and, in his youth, fronted a couple of bands as a singer; which in turn prompted his passion to write poetry, in his mind poetry was lyrics and lyrics was poetry just without any music. Not content with that he decided to learn how to play guitar and understand the structure of music, so he could partner his poetry with his own original compositions. Learning to play the guitar continues to be both a passion and, as the grades get harder, a challenge.
Having sketched out a long poem about a character he had kept close by for a while, Nicholson tentatively wrote out a much longer story about the character who had been a preoccupation for some time. Gradually, the story was fleshed out, embellished, becoming more detailed and polished until it was ready to be released into the wild. Billie was born!
